Among others, SusBuild project aims to strengthen mutual learning among key stakeholders in western China regarding sustainable building development and to support the dissemination of stakeholder cooperation outcomes.
A successful example is the establishment of Western China Sustainable Building Alliance (WCSBA), led by China Association of
Building Energy Effciency (CABEE). The Alliance was formed and kicked-off in August 2017, in Chengdu. 15 SMEs, research institutes, associations, governmental think tanks from four western Chinese
provinces (Chongqing, Yunnan, Sichuan, Tibet) are among the frst members of WCSBA.
This diverse group will collaborate and work on research of green buildings technologies and relevant standards, promotion of new technologies and products, capacity building,
consultant projects, publications, international collaborations and policy recommendations. In October 2017, they organized their frst workshop to establish their development roadmap and to initiate
the research on green building products and technologies suitable to mountainous areas.
